More then half of my movie is set in dark sequences with little lighting, I've been using AVID Express uncompressed video. So the video quality before its encoded is top notch. However when I export it in AVID DVD by SONIC the video becomes grainy and highly contrasted from what it originally was.

I'm using Sorenson Squeeze to encode the video to an MPEG II.

I was just wondering if there is an option to better optimize video quality based on the original source footage?

    Thanks

  2. That's $2000.00 in payware you are using. For that kind of money, their tech support should be fantastic! I suggest you give them a call on the phone and see what they have to say about the grain problem.

I think you can get Sorenson Squeeze 4.3 Compression Suite for about $400 US.
