Ave,
I've been using TMPGEnc Xpress for all my video encoding needs, which are basically AVI/MPEG/DIVX to DVD. I use TMPGEnc Xpress to encode the file to .m2v / .ac3 video & audio files and then load them up in TMPGEnc DVD Author to author the DVD.
Recently i got my hands on Cinema Craft Encoder.
I wanted to know if there's any reason i should switch to Cinema Craft Encoder for my video encoding needs? Is it better then TMPGEnc Xpress? Or gives any advantages over Xpress?
I found a pretty neat guide at Doom9 about using CCE, so useage shouldn't be a problem.
One question though, if you do recommend using CCE for Video Encoding, what should be my process for the Audio.... since CCE does not produce AC3... what would be the best choice to get the AC3?
Thanks.

I use both, CCE is basically faster (about twice TMPGEncXpress for one pass and four times compared to old TMPGEncPlus) and allows more passes than two to improve quality at VBR. I prefer using it when there's no need in editing, just resizing and always process audio separately, then use external sound encoder, SonicFoundry SoftEncode 1.0 for AC3 (you can find free AC3 tools at doom9.org). For input files other than avi I prefer TMPGEncXpress, it even works with HDTV mpegs. In many cases CCE needs pre-processing of video (like importing mpegs; color correction when importing xvid avi's, letterboxing etc.) in AviSynth. I like both encoders!

Informative! Thanks. Basically from what i understand Speed is the primary difference, and not so much the quality, unless you use more then 2 Pass VBR encoding. Which essentially is a strong factor for switching to CCE in my opinion.
I think i will try CCE for my next few encoding jobs and see how i begin to like it.I don't suffer from Chronic Insanity & Psychosomatic Multiple Personality Disorder!
