ok i new at this so here it goes...
i own a asus v7700 deluxe with the tv box and and a Soundblaster live, i believe all the wires are properly connected (tv box to line in et all). when i use the asus software i can hear the sound allright, but when i capture something to .avi and play it back there is no sound at all?!?!? with virtualdub there is no sound from the getgo!! does anybody know a solution???
to only way i've been able to capture with sound is when i use the microphone connection, but then the sound is pretty distorted!!!!
HELP please........

Open your mixer settings / Volume settings. Check if your Line IN in Recording mode is NOT muted. Adjust sound level as desired. Also MUTE microphone in Recording settings while capturing to prevent external sounds from getting recorded.

thanx, can capture with sound on the asus live application, but virtuadub still refuses to make any sounds on starting it up... no matter i'll just use the asus stuff...
