hey all. I got an asf file recorded from online radio. its over 7 hours, and about 200mb. but when i open it up in wavlab, it says it cant open a file larger than 2 gigs. ( I assume the temp file as a wav)

what can i use now to convert this to something i can use??? (asf is useless in an mp3 media player)

Heh - I think there are some MP3 players (and DVD players) that do recognize ASF. If they recognize WMA, they may recognize ASF as well, since ASF is the previous generation of WMA.

Offhand, I think you can try ASFTools, or better yet, SUPER (which is, of course, a GUI to ffmpeg, mencoder, etc., so if you're not adverse to the command-line, you can try those as well.).
If cameras add ten pounds, why would people want to eat them?

  3. Try open with GoldWave and save as MP3.

  4. Directly converting asf audio file to Mp3 is not possible, all you have to do is first play the asf audio file and then record using a software (try Fleximusic wave Editor) and now save the recorded file as mp3/wav format.
