  1. Hi, I've always made vcd's using TmpgEnc to turn my avis to mpegs 1, when I burned them in NERO 5 (make VCD) it would see that the files were already decoded to mpeg and would only take five minutes to crete vcd. Now that I upgrated to NERO 6, it doesn't seem to care that the file is already in mpeg format and starts decoding it again, resulting in a 20 min delay (per file) to creat the vcd.

Is there a way to avoid this problem?

<---- Tools > Authoring > SVCD/VCD. Try any of the freeware stuff to start, if nothing it acceptable to you, try one of the commercial/shareware packages available.

With that said, have you tried turning off VCD compliancy (something to that effect)? It's been so long that I used Nero, let alone to let it compile a VCD, that I can't really recall where the tickbox is.

Best VCD authoring app is VCDEasy (last free version will do nicely, if you don't feel like paying for later commercial versions).
