  1. I'm trying to convert a real media file to a mpeg or avi with no success.I have streambox vcr but that just seems to download the file in rm. format.I use tmpgenc and it does not recognise this format.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    There's a tiny freeware program called Tinra, find it here;

    What this program does is play back the RM video and recaptures it either as compressed or uncompressed. The draw back is that you need a fast machine - P3 700-800 or better.
