    Hi,

What software should I use to burn a dvd from a ripped dvd in HD ?

I managed to rip a dvd (using dvdfab decrypt) to my HD and when I tried using CDBurner XP Pro to burn the dvd, I wasn't able to play it (on my PC) even though there's no error in the burning.

What did I do wrong? Any recommendation for a dvd burner (freeware)?

    Sorry I newbie in this.

    Thanks !

If you read the manual, CDBurnerXP states that its Video DVD burning abilities are shaky, at best. steveryan is correct - ImgBurn (v 2) is the best for this task.

    ok... need some advice here...

i've used dvdfab decrypter to rip a dvd to my HD... after ripping, there are 2 folders created (AUDIO_TS & VIDEO_TS)...

i've just installed ImgBurn and i'm not able to burn the dvd with both these folders intact like the original dvd...

    anything i missed??...

    thanks !

Yes, with ImgBurn 2, you can burn DVD folders (VIDEO_TS + AUDIO_TS) directly. With ImgBurn 1, you have to create an ISO of them first, with ImgTools Classic.

Just drag the VIDEO_TS folder into ImgBurn, it will create the AUDIO_TS folder for you. Is the VIDEO_TS folder under the single layer DVD-/+R limit? If it's not you will need to shrink or remove unwanted parts. Check this excellent guide http://www.digital-digest.com/articles/RipIt4Me_DVD_Shrink_Quick_Backup_page3.html
