  1. I HAVE A JVC DVD PLAYER. IT STATES IT CAN PLAY DVD, VCD, AND CD'S. BUT IT DOES NOT SAY CD-R/RW. THEREFORE IT WILL NOT PLAY MY BURNED VCD MOVIES. IS THERE ANY WAY TO MAKE A ORIGINAL OR STAMPED VCD?

  4. If you experiment with different brands of CD-R, you will often find one that works. CD-RW usually works better in these cases too.

  6. I use silver BASF ( now emtec ) 80 min I think these are the best for the price. Stick to a standard template video@1150 kbits/sec and audio@224bits/sec. then try it...

  8. Hi Jakobie,

my JVC XV-522 plays VCD´s burned with Nero 5.5 on german brands like LIFETEC or TEVION (thge cheap one from ALDI). I think it´s not a question of the CD-R brand it´s more a question of the burning application. For example vcd´s burned with a software from Roxio, i belive it´s WINONCD doesn´t work in my JVC.
The JVC also canNOT play SVCD, but it can play XVCD´s with a datarate up to 2500kbit/s!!! So you can get a perfect quality movie on two CD´s
