I have Nero V7 and Ulead Movie Factory 5. I have not done much copying at all. I have several DVD movies I recorded with my TV DVD recorder. (Presidian). I wanted to make copies and put 2 movies on 1 DVD. So I used Ulead to clip the movies from just the beginning to end, then used DVD shrink to shrink them to approx 2.2gb each. Then tried to use Nero V7 to copy them on 1 DVD. I used the copy multiple dvd's to 1 dvd in Nero 7. When the DVD was finished it finalized. I tried to play the DVD on my TV DVD players I have 2 and the DVD's dont have a menu and start playing the first movie with no selection available. Then when I stop it it locks up the player. How can I show the 2 different movies in the menu so each can be selected?

    thank you

    Don't use Nero for authoring.

Simplest tool for what you want to do is Tmpgenc DVD Author.

If you demux the two movies, GUIForDVDAuthor is a free alternative.

Shrink doesn't demux, it creates a new folder containing the DVD structure for the reduced movie. You have created two such folders, so you are staing with effectively two DVDs. Tmpgenc will allow you to import each of these using it's Add Video function. From there you can add menus etc.

Don't shrink each individual movie first, build the project then use DVD Shrink if needed.

Tmpgenc DVD Author will allow you to add the contents of each of your existing dvds. You will need to copy them to the harddrive first though. After you get them into Tmpgenc DVD Author (in 2 different tracks) using the "Add DVD VIdeo" create your desired selection menu then use the Output function to create the DVD Folders on the hdd of the project. Author might warn you that this project is larger than 1 DVD-R disk, but you can choose to "Ignore" this warning and the program will create the folders anyway. You can then import the folder (project) into DVD Shrink where the program will transcode (shrink) it to fit on 1 disk. If you have Nero Burning Rom installed, Shrink can also burn the DVD, if not then burn the shrunken VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders as you usually do.

Very easy after you do it a few times.

    Good luck.
