Hi,
Last weekend I start to trim down a .wmv file from 234 Mb to 230 Mb b y cutting off the last 4 Mb.
Of the 6 attempts with varios software such as Windows Movie Maker, Pinnacle Studio 10, Blaze Media Pro, none of them was capable to achive this without quality loss.
In all occasions the sound synchronisation was off for about 10 seconds.
Even conversion to an .avi file immediately showed the sound synchronisation failure.
Does anyone have any idea how this can be solved?

Also using VSO ConvertXtoDVD resulted into sound synchronosation failure

Have you tried the Windows Media File Editor utility that comes with Windows Media Encoder? It's supposed to be able to do basic cuts without reencoding.

hmmzz..asfbin...sounds good only problem is that the 4 Mb mentioned is an estimate of a scene which finalizes the .wmv file.
When cutting this scene off I would like to see what I am actually cutting off -
The problem in short:
I have a .wmv file of which I want to cut off the final scene.
Tried this with various software but the results all turned out to have a difference in sound synchronosation of approx. 10 seconds.
Looking for a programm which prevents the sound synchronosation problems and has a short processing time; for example Pinnacle Studio 10 takes aprrox. 4 hours to create the trimmed file yet the sounds is off.
Comparing it to photo editing...cutting some edges off and saving the trimmed picture without quality loss and in a reasonable amount of processing time.
Thnx in advance !! -
