I downloaded a DVD from a newsgroup. It was too big for a 4.7g disc, so I dropped the VIDEO_TS file into TMPGenc Author to reauthor it and split it into two discs, leaving out the previews, etc. I set shapter stops, created the menu, etc. Everything seemed to be just fine until I tried to create the DVD folder.
When I tried to make the DVD folder, TMPGenc gave me a message that the combined bit rate is too high for a standard DVD. Is there something I can do that will decrease the combined bit rate?
I searched for "combined bit rate" on this site. I either missed the info that was basic enouch for me, or I just don't have the knowledge base to follow the discussion about this subject.

you can ignore it and it will probably work fine in most players, see https://forum.videohelp.com/viewtopic.php?p=1574528&highlight=tmpgenc+combined#1574528
