    I've decided to bang my head up against programming again. This time I want to write a program to convert IDX or SUB files to SRT. Can anybody tell me where I can find the specs of IDX and SUB? I know that they are a graphic format but I'm not sure which one. The program, if I manage to get it right, will be free.

    I found a program that it supposed to do it but I have never managed to get it to work,

    It appears SubRip has source code available, so that should be helpful.
