I have tried to rip , compress and burn a '90s tv show "my so called life," but am getting poor results. I am using Taiyo Yaden media. I first did a disc copy and had the video and audio breaking up into stacatto-like effects when pleaying over my dvd player. So I joined the episodes in dvd2oneX2 and have had almost identical results following burning on my iMacG5. The picture breaks up into bars like a graph paper at times or is choppy. The video_ts folder prior to burning plays fine using dvd player. Any ideas how I can improve the quality of this product because it's really getting in the way of watching the epsodes on the DvD?

I hope my super drive is OK. I do burn from a folder contained on an external hard drive. Could that have an impact? The file path is lacie/ MY_So_Called_Life_Disk_1 from my hard drive.

Any one have any similar problems, as I am somewhat at a loss as to what to do to better he quality of this rip/compression/burn ?

    Thanks

The ripped file plays fine on the iMac.
What does the DTOX version play like?
Is it choppy in that stage? What version
of DTOX are you using? What version
    of MTR are you using?

The best combination thus far is MTR 3.0 r13d and DTOX 2.05.
This is a pretty flawless combo when it comes to rip and compress.

When burning from the external, is it FW or USB?
At what speed ar you burning the Taiyo's? Are they true Taiyo's
(see our media forum at left, or go to nomorecoasters.com)
from Meritline/Rima/Supermediastore, or from somewhere else?

It's sloooow to startup ( MTR r13e PPC) on my mac
(a Dual 1 MDD G4), and slooooww to shut down.
( does those loong fades in and out.)
It has even crashed on quit unexpectedly a couple of times...

I've had the best luck with the MTR 13rd build that was
    tagged as MTR_uni 10.4 build.
As I've pointed out in earlier posts, it handled making
FD copies of such problems as
Scary Movie 4 and Final Destination 3.

    *shrugs*
I've been meaning to hit GB up about it, but i've been rather busy...

My r13e PPC did that the first time and then,so far, it has been as good as R13d.
