I have an ATI TV Wonder Elite PCI card and the quality of the video is very good. Unfortunately it has a couple of hiccups:
1. The software that comes along with it is really terrible. It takes so long to start watching cable channels and switching to different channels.
2. There is a 2 second lag in the visuals and audio for the composite input being shown. I want to record game play videos from my ps2 but the lag makes it unbearable to play on it.
3. Support for ati products is terrible as well. I had to look at other forums to find answers.
I had to use 3rd party software just to make it work seemlessly.
Chris TV is a great piece of software. Unfortunately you have to buy it in order to keep using it. DScaler used to work with my old ATI Wonder Pro but it wouldn't work for my ATI Wonder Elite. I asked the DScaler forum but no one has answered my question. Winamp TV (plug-in for Winamp) works really well for composite video. Its almost perfect if there wasn't a slight audio lag and motion blurring.
How good is the audio and visuals provided by the Hauppauge WinTV PVR 150 MCE Bundle? Is it better than an ATI Wonder Elite? Is there a lag when you use the composite input with a game console? Are there any solutions to it like using 3rd party software support?
According to the store I will buy it from it has a TV out. Is this true?
