    whats the best software that takes avi and other formats and convert them to dvd and burn them at the sametime?>

    AVStoDVD will use Imgburn if it is installed. Personally I never convert and burn - I prefer ti check that the quality is right before committing to disc.

    ConvertXtoDVD will also burn, using the VSO burning engine.

    None of them burn as they go. They all convert first, then burn.
