I just got a Mac, and I'm switching over to using DVD Studio Pro.
I use to encode all my files using MainConcept H.264, into MPEG 2 format. Then I could import them into any program like DVD Architect and they wouldn't have to be re encoded. With the batch encode option in MainConcept, this worked great for me, and saved time. (I let them run all night)
I noticed that the same MPEG 2 file cant be imported into DVD Studio Pro. I have to import the original (example DIVX) file into the program, and it will encode it again. I am able to import the same audio files (AC3) and it works just fine.
What file format does the video have to be in? I would like to be able to do the same as before. Encode everything into the right format, and then just build the DVD in DVD Studio Pro without encoding everything again.
Any help would be great.

For import of MPEG-2 files, they need to be elementary streams, thus separate video (m2v) and audio (ac3 or whatever).
