    hello,
I tried asking the Nvidia support this question a few weeks ago but they never responded

Im using NVIDIA GEforce 6200se dual tv card that came with my MCE HP computer. I was having no troubles until I decided to change to XP. Now with the clone setting on(Monitor and tv) I get a black screen when I try to view videos. I can see everything else on the tv but when a video plays its just a black area where the video should be.
I believe I d/l the latest driver and cant figure out what else to do.

Thanks in advance for any help

edit: I forgot that after searching online for a while I found something that somehwta worked. In WMP i could set the graphics acceleration downa notch and it worked! But the video was very choppy and playback was very unenjoyable.

  2. I had the same setup before and thats how it works. What you need to do to get by it is set your tv as your primary monitor. Once you do that you should see the black screen on your computer and the video on your tv.

You may be able to get it to work if you extend your desktop to your tv, then drag the video window onto the extended desktop, then run full screen
Hunting, sure i'll go hunting. When is cow season?

Not correct ... I own an msi geforce fx5500 unit and here's how .

Clone mode = what you see on pc monitor , you see on tv as well .

Make sure in setting's you have the dual display set up ... pc monitor and tv ... monitor is default device .

From here , if you play a quicktime file it will appear in program on pc ... and be full screen on tv .
Nero showtime will do the same ... on pc , send program to system taskbar so you can do other work .

You can also right click on any playable video , and in the option's will be "play on" , it will have both or just tv .

    --------------

To record game's on pc ... set to clone mode only .
Problem here is may not encompass the entire screen on the tv ... but it's alot simpler for thos wanting game recording's for the fun of it .

You can also just use a non-overlay video mode and use a decent player like VLC or Power DVD.

Preferences -> Video -> Advanced has a tick for overlay on my copy of VLC. You can also turn off acceleration in Direct X.
