I have been using DVDMaestro to author my dvds and I just recently noticed that upon playback of a newly authored discs, the dvd will pause for a second at a self-made chapter point, then continue on. It resembles when a Dual Layer dvd changes layers. I really can remember if I changed anything in my authoring process. Is there a work around this? Is this just my dvd players (tried in 2 players)? Any help or info would be appreciated. I am using taiyo yuden discs.

Is it all chapter points, or only certain chapter points?
Did you add a VM command on the chapter(s) with the problem?

It was all chapter points. However, I believe I fixed the problem. It looks like I have been setting links to the end of my chapter points. Under the connections tab of DVDMaestro, I would link a chapter to the next. I thought I was assigning the "next button" on dvd remotes, but in reality I was just telling the dvd to skip/search to the next chapter, this caused the pauses. To assign "next" commands, you have to go under the advanced section.

When you set the links, I am guessing that using that option inserts a VM Command for that chapter point (which is why I asked if you were adding VM Commands to the problem chapters).
These VM Commands (cell commands) can cause the issue you described on some players (some players handle them better than others).

Just out of curiosity, are there real chapter points - i.e. chapter points in a single video title - or have you cut the video into chapter sized titles and linked them together ?
If it is the latter then you don't actually have chapters, you have multilpe titles in a titleset. Some players won't play these back seemlessly, regardless of how you link them.Read my blog here.
