Read error occurred at address 10006aa0 of module dvd2avi.vfp with32c22a59. I can't get past this error and i've overcome a half dozen others, so if there is anyone with some advice please help. I'm using smartripper 2.34,dvd2avi 1.76 source code 1.76 tmpgenc beta 12h vfapi templates from sefy's. Iv'e unzipped them all to the same directory. In this folder (smartripper) there is a noaspi file and i'm not sure what this means, it's clear i'm a nebie but whit a little help i too can be rippin along soon i hope.......Thanks

  2. you should put the programs in separate directories (i.e. smartripper, dvd2avi, tempgenc should be in their respective directories)

make sure dvd2avi.vfp is in the same directory as your dvd2avi.exe. when you run dvd2avi, goto "help" and make sure VFAPI plug-in is checked before you save .d2v project file

also, DON'T move or delete the vobs in any way after you have made your .d2v project file from dvd2avi. this is because the vobs are still the source of video for tempgenc to encode with....the .d2v project is what tempgenc uses to find the EXACT location of the vobs...so don't move or delete the vobs until after you have encoded your movie

Well i went back and tried again but still got the same results and now I even fdisked thinking i have to much crap on my hd so with a clean in stall and all new drivers(CURRENT)and I also tried claddvd 2.0 and I keep getting read errors to do with dvd2avi, My only success in tmpgenc was when i clipped a very short section (40 seconds)to be exact and it worked but thats hardly enough. I guess i could do this threw the whole movis and then splice it to gether.......NOt. As far as i can tell everything is setup right I have an ati ddr 64 meg vivo video card and i'm running the vfw drivers it also has capture abilities,1 gig p3,creative dvd encore dxr3 decorder card,384 in memory, when i run just the vob files threw my dvd player they work great but in between the dvd2avi and tmpgencn all hell breaks loose I know this is long winded but i wont give up...anyone in my shoes with some ideas would be great...
    Peace Rick
