    I seem to remember reading that the Original Series episode the CITY ON THE EDGE OF FOREVER was the first network show to say HELL on air. It was the end when Kirk said "Let's get the Hell out of here".

    Is that true or is that an urban legend? I know Star Trek pushed buttons back in the 60's for network television but I don't know if this was one of them.

    I have heard that was true also but haven't researched it. Also heard that the first interracial kiss was from a Star Trek episode. Now if Kirk only sang "Spock's Mom is a B**tch in D Minor" that would've rocked!

    the word HELL was said a number of times on "Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In" which ran from '68 to '73

    then I realize -- Star Trek ran in '66 , which is really amazing how old it is ... so there may of been some word overlap ....

    The first interracial kiss was from something else. One of Aaron Spelling's first popular shows, I forget which. I just read about it when he died.

    You're reffering to the Mod Squad. It premiered in September of 68. The Star Trek episode with the kiss aired in November. Now I don't know which episode of the Mod Squad had the kiss but Star Trek is credited with the first interracial kiss. However, the kiss was not shown in the south so maybe the Mod Squad scene was the first shown throughout the US?
