  1. I usually take my dv files and convert them all to xvid using VirtualDub. Personally, I am sick of goin thru and setting up each file to convert it into 640 x 480, full processing audio (lame), etc etc.... was wondering if there is a program that will do this all quicker?

I have tried saving processing settings, but it literally saved the file size and all and emplimented those same standards for every video....

What I like about AutoGK that Virtualdub has problems with is the timecode.

Virtualdub doesn't seem to know how to handle it and you can end up with sync problems when working with AC3 audio where AutoGK seems to know exactly how to handle it and so far, I haven't had any sync problems.

As for the batch files in Virtualdub, I just put all the files I want to process in a folder, change my settings in Virtualdub for how I want to process the files (crop, deinterlace and resize filters, Lame MP3 CBR 128Hz audio and XviD video compression etc...) and use job control to batch encode all the files in the folder.

If working with WMV files, you'll need to use Virtualdub MPEG-2.
