What do think is currently best Generic bulk ink for Canon inkjet printers and where to get it? Currently using a ip4500 (5-Color) printer. Already tried searching on the forum, but couldn't find anything too current and most of the post were about generic ink cartridges and not bulk ink. Thanks in advance!

I can't recall seeing anyplace that carries ink in "bulk". I've ordered from newegg, abcink, and 123ink. abc and 123 usually offer lower rates when ordering multiple cartridges and they both often have sales/coupons and/or free shipping.

the 4500 uses "chipped" carts. you can't refill without voiding the warranty. the printer has a built-in memory chip that stores that info. with that warning the refills from meritline are usually ok.

aedipuss...I believe that's why he was wanting bulk ink information as he already mentioned "generic" ink. I took that to mean bulk Canon ink.

Thanks for the responses and yes I am looking for ink to refill OEM Canon cartridges. I already modded my Canon printer so that I can print on inkjet printable CD/DVD media and bypassed the ink monitoring feature of my printer so worrying about the warranty is already a moot point, but THANKS for pointing this out. I am looking at getting my monitoring back online by using a chip resetter for the Canon CLI-8 & PGI-5 cartridges. I just ordered one this week via a eBay purchase from Germany (see link below). I've been doing some research and this one seems to be the best of the ones that I found. If anyone is interested I can post my results here if it works or not? Any other suggestions for ink to refill my OEM cartridges that come close to matching the color output of Canon OEM inks would me appreciated.
