Guidance Required Setting up Capture Equipment esp DataVideo TBC3000.

Hi....I have finally decided to put all my music VHS Tapes to disk......I have purchased a SVHS VCR ,a Data Video TBC 3000 and a Canopus ADVC 100 ...Now I require some kind person to give me some guidance in how or best way to set these up .....I presume the SVHS VCR will connect to the Data Video TBC ...>>> then to the Canopus ADVC100 and then to my computer....I am unsure of the Canopus as previously I have always used an internal capture card so do not know what to expect here ...I bought a "firewire card" to put in my PC so as to plug the Canopus into it and am wondering if anything else in needed .....
If any kind person could help I would be extremely grateful.....I would however point out that this may involve the odd question over a 1 to 2 week period...
