I have an AVI movie that contains two audio tracks. (Don't know yet if they're seperate). When I play the video using Windows Media Player, it's in asian I believe. If I use the VLC player it allows me to choose the second language when playing (english). I converted it to DVD format using WinAVI and tried to encode and burn using DVD shrink but it doesn't allow me to seperate the audio tracks.

What's the easiest way to burn this to DVD with the english language ?

Figure out with Gspot if this is 1 audio stream or 2.

If it's 1, you need to demux the audio to WAV (I like AVIMux: http://aubrun.jeanpierre.free.fr/avimux/avimux.html) and then use CoolEdit/Goldwave/Audacity etc to strip off one of the channels and leave you with the channel you desire. That channel will then be encoded (AC3/MP2/DTS) or left alone (PCM), unless it isn't yet up to DVD spec (16bit, 48kHz), where you'd have to do SRC, etc.

If it's 2, you need to demux the correct stream only (same tool) and follow up with the same subsequent audio tools/processes. You'll have to figure out on your own which stream is the correct one.

IIWY, I'd use a better toolset for going AVI->MPEG->DVD. Something like TMPGEnc, Mainconcept, etc. for encoding, then Ulead/DVDA/DVDLabPro/TMPGEncDVD,etc. for authoring. More features, better tweakability, less waste, prob. more compatibility, NO REENCODING.

    I'm surprised it didn't work - not.

You could also do your demuxing with virtualdubmod. Otherwise, follow the advice from Cornucopia.

I would also strongly suggest that you uninstall WinAVI, as it does nothing but bring pain and misery.
