How can i extract audio tracks from avi file. Could you tell me the source code to do it?

Not much help unless you would tell us what kind of 'AVI'. That's just a generic name, not the actual codec used. There are dozens of AVI formats. Drop it into MediaInfo, tree format, or use a similar program and post the results.
Just generically, you could try dropping the file into VirtualDub or maybe AVIDemux and demux the audio from the video. That would get you a separate audio file. There could be a bit more too it, but that will likely get you started.
