  1. i converted some ogm files to avi, the audio was out of sync but i used virtualdubmod to skew the audio, the problem is when i convert the avi's to mpeg 2 files using winAVI, the audio goes out of sync again. I open the mpeg 2 file in virtualdub mod and the audio skew settings are incorrect (it's all at 0) and when I try to change them it takes forever to save and creates a HUGE file

    any help
    thanks

try converting the audio to wav before encoding to mpeg2. you may have mp3 vbr audio which will screw up the sync.

You cannot correct mpeg2 synch with vdubmod. What you have at the end is an uncompressed video (=huge). Vdub(mod, mpeg2) can not work with mpeg2 files in direct stream copy mode.
As you know already the delay of the audio stream (you have corrected it once) demultiplex the video and audio from the files outputed from winavi. Load them in an authirong programm and adjust for the audio delay. Author the dvd files.
