  1. Many, many times, I've used the frame server function of VirtualDub to change an avi while encoding to mpg with TMPGEnc. Suddenly, I try to do this with a file tonight, and TMPGEnc tells me the frame-server file is unsupported. Thinking it was just this particular file, I tried many other avi files and got the same result. I've never had this problem before, and haven't changed any settings on either program. Anyone have any suggestions about why TMPGEnc would suddenly stop working with VirtualDub's frame server? I'm perplexed.

Which version are you using? Have you looked in the VD folder for AuxSetup.exe? That turns the frameclient handler off and on.
