  1. Ok Im kind of confused .... and Maybe Its somewhere here on the forum but Ive missed it.

Is is possible to make a High def disk on a regular DVD... and with saying that... what I mean is, if I went to the Microsoft site where they have WMV files that are in 720p and 1080, can I make a demo disk with these files and get either resolution through my regular dvd player using component out puts?

I know I would have to convert the files etc... but the real question is if it is possible on a regular dvd player.

    Thanks in advance!

No you can not make an actual HD DVD. Not unitl burners and media are readily available.

You can however burn these HD clips as data and from you PC feed than out to your TV with the right connectors of course.
No DVD can withstand the power of DVDShrink along with AnyDVD!

Yep the best you could do is downconvert to 480p which would be recognizable by normal progressive scan dvd players.

Or do it as data but I don't know how many divx compatible dvd players can play high def material. You'd have to do some research on that if they are avi clips.
Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw?

One can also create an HD DVD disc using Apple's DVD Studio Pro 4. The HD DVD spec includes something called HD DVD-9. This lets you create an HD DVD compliant disc using a red laser burner and media. You need an HD DVD player (e.g. Toshiba) or a Mac with Apple's most recent version of the DVD Player application in order to play the disc. The disc will not play on your plain old set top DVD player.
