  1. Hi,

I"m not sure if I'm in the right forum,it all related to TV, I have a satellite Bell Exprexx Vu similar to Star choice

The channels run from 100 to 999

To record movie from satellite into VCR which has LINE 1 AND LINE 2(where channels should be initiated) I picked up one of the channels but it fails to record....

I have connected cables yellow, white, red from Video to Audio(back of the satellite box) when I started to record, it didn't work

Anyone has Satteliite Bell , how do you record movie?

    Thank you

are you sure you are not connecting to the two line IN connections that the HD and (some other model) boxs have ?

those show up on channel 00 , 01 and 02 (depending on model) as an input

I hope you know about Satellite Bell from Canada.

I didn't connect anything, the channels are LINE 1, 2 THEN 03,IT can't go beyond channel 123 why?

Unless my VCR panasonic doesn't offer recording from satellite?

Sounds like you set the vcr to record from channel 03 input instead of Line 1 or Line 2. I don't use the cable inputs at all anymore, just the line inputs connected to the line outs of the receiver. Set the vcr to the correct line input (video source) and press 'record'. Simple enough. Been doing this for many, many years....

Doesn't matter. Your line input is set wrong. Set timer, check that your input is correct (Line 1 or Line 2). Activate timer. Simple enough. I mostly don't use the VCR for recording anymore because of it's inferior recording capabilities. DVD recorders are the way to go and since the manufacturers have stated that they will no longer be making parts for VHS recorders, the only way to go....
