RipBot, BDRebuilder and eac3to can see the DTS-Express audio streams imbedded in the main movie but only eac2to so far can actually demux/mux this stream only in its raw form (TsMuxer by itself refuses to load the stream altogether). If I mux an m2ts file or build a BD with just the Pip video with the DTS-Express audio I can watch the stream but the audio does not appear to decode properly.

Can anyone shed some light on DTS-Express audio streams for me? or at least point me in the right direction? Much thanks!

I've never bothered with the PiP video or the Express audio tracks, but try to convert the audio stream to AC3 with eac3to, maybe it helps.

Yeah, thats the kicker: I have converted using eac3to but if I select any output setting other than raw DTS it will generate errors specifically "The ArcSoft decoder doesn't seem to work". So converting to AC3 or trying to re-encode at a different bit rate seems to break eac3to.

Selecting DTS as the output has been the only way I have been able to get eac3to to finish the job without errors. But alas, when I play the output no audio.

What are you using for playing back the "resulting output"

I have used the eac3to option to create a BD and m2ts file both. Player is a PS3 with latest firmware (if it matters).

Also to note, the PiP functions properly directly from my original BD's and the audio plays fine. After decryption to HDD and remux w/eac3to - no audio.
