Well I tried Video Inspector but that has none of the functionality of GSpot. I'm surprised that nobody has done some alternative to GSpot since it's outdated with lack of support for mkv, ogm, and 264. Does anyone know of an alternative at all for this software at all?

edDV, maybe you misunderstood my post. I wasn't saying anything bad about Video Inspector but stating they don't have any of the functionality of GSpot. Maybe in the future they will but right now they don't. I'll try out that AVICodec but it's too bad the author of GSpot quit updating his software. But it's a software that I would of easily spent $15 dollars for easily since it is such a useful tool.
I have just did a data recovery from a drive that lost it's mft table from the sata cable somehow comming loose and now having to somehow test over a 100gigs of video files to see if they recovered properly. Found a few that have not thanks to GSpot but I also have alot of mp4, ogm, and mkv files I needed to somehow test. -
