    I think most of member in this forum had been facing the video and audio sound not sync after converting video. I think many member had been posted their problem... here..

    Because i using the WinAvi video converter 7.1 so.... what i want to ask is when i convert rmvb to avi.....
    1.what is the best compression setting during convert
    2. what video and audio encoder should I use?


    I just want only to make sure video and the audio sound can be synchronize after convert rmvb to avi !! HElp me please

    Any suggestion ?

    The best compression setting is always the lowest you can get away with. This means the highest bitrate that remain with the DVD spec and allows you to fit your footage onto a disc. A bitrate calculator will tell you what this number is.

    rmvb is difficult to convert. There are number of approaches you can consider.

    The process most likely to succeed is avisynth, an rm direct show filter, and a good encoder. This will take longer to set up and complete, but will give the best quality.

    SUPER seems to be able to handle odd formats (and I consider RM an odd format) reasonably well, and can output mpeg files, VOB files etc. It is simple to use, and pretty quick.
