  1. After i installed Studio 9.3 from an original CD. I upgraded to 9.4.3 or something. Without testing if the audio worked or not. I assumed when you buy something it's completely bug free.

Up untill i was trying to view what i captured I didn't hear any sound. So i tried to look if there was maybe something wrong with the video i captured. But that didn't help me one bit.

I kept going on up untill i wanted ro put some audio background on there so i wa searching through my music files and tried listening to them on the Windows media player; nothing came out. I finnished the project without knowing if there was really sound on it or not. After playing on a DVD player the sound was there. Only not the background sound of the mp3 file i used. In the book it tells you it can capture *.mp3 and *.wav. But it only can capture *.wav apparently after reading the forums.

I've checked if the soundboxes were put in correctly on my PC, which they were. So i uninstalled whole Studio 9 without any luck of recovering my audio on the PC. Anything i'm missing here?

    Thanks for any help.

Try removing your sound drivers and then reinstalling them.

  4. Yes the driver uninstall/ reinstall solved the problem.

Btw the OS is Windows XP Home edition SP2 I know they update frequently, but still most things work. Which can not be said about Pinnacle. If they say *.mp3 support it should be supported it's been since version 7 or 8 that this problem is there that i know of.
