I am using AviSub to integrate subtitles to avi which is great. Unfortunately this tool does not support Xvid files with MPEG Quantization. How to convert to H.264 Quantization without re-encoding the files? Thanks

I assume that you mean H.263 and basically you can't. You need to re-encode. I would suggest using a Home Theatre Profile. Can't you over ride the DivX compliance check though? That way you could have MPEG quants even though they don't conform to DXN specs.

I don't know. I don't use xsubs/the divx container. I assume divxmux has some kind of switch though.
