    I'm confused about this:

I transfered some dv videos from my camcorder. Now I have these huge AVI files in my hard drive.

What's the next step?. Should I convert them to MPEG to then edit them to fit in a DVD or should I
edit the AVI files first and then convert them?.

And if someone could just tell me this: how many AVI files are too much to get into a DVD?. Or How could I find out how much AVI file it's too much for the DVD?

If I could get answer to these questions I think I can continue on my own.

    Thank you!.

Edit the avi's first. Then convert to mpeg2 for authoring.

Use a bitrate calculator like the videohelp bitrate calculator to determine how much video you can you fit and at what bitrate to use.
