Another topic was getting slightly off-topic toward this, but now it make me wonder.
What differences can be seen between DVI and VGA?
Is it really must have?
I thought at this pooint with the planned DRM HDMI is the one that is really the must have, if you want a monitor that is going to be fully functional in five years or so.

I don't know what you're talking about. -
VGA and DVI-A are analog RGB

DVI-D is a digital RGB connection

DVI-I is both and has both DVI-A and DVI-D pins
HDMI includes DVI-D + Audio + control + HDCP

HDCP is the ecryption schem that will be necessary to view protected content.

PS: Nothing you buy in a computer display card today includes working HDCP. The first ATI card was recently announced.
