    Hello Everybody!

Ik have a problem with aspect ratio in Adobe Encore DVD 2.0. My files are 16:9, but encore dvd plays them as 4:3 files, and so the image will be transformed. In the 'properties' tab, I see a radio box where I can choose wheter I want to play the files as 4:3, or as 16:9, but this function is disabled..

    Can anyone help me?

    Greetings
    Jens

go to greferences, and look for the preview aspect and change it to 16:9.

This issue wont affect your project, this is just a preview issue. Adobe wont reencode or crop your file, it will respect your aspect ratio. The only aspect ratio you should worry about is the one for your menus. that one you DO can change it from 4:3 (default) to 16:9 if you want to.

Try to create the DVD just like you have it right now (create a folder DVD so you dont get a coaster, or preferably use a rewritable media) and play it. You will notice Encore DVD in fact, respected your asset's original aspect ratio when the DVD is built.
