    I was wondering if there any way to tell what program a DVD was authored in.

    Sometimes Authoring Applications will load their name into the Provider-ID field. But Authors can go and change that if they want, so that won't always be accurate...

    Sometimes DVDDecrypter can shed some light....forget in which mode though.

  4. IFOEdit->VMGM_MAT->Provider ID....or open the DVD files in DVDShrink and hit Backup->DVD Region.
    As was mentioned not all apps provide that info.
