I have a Daytek DVD player(two actually) and they've played every movie fine for the past few years. This week I rented Water from Blockbuster and I after about 8 minutes in the film got choppy and unplayable. I returned it and got a different copy, keep in mind this film was just released on DVD last week so these copies are not scratched or anything. I put it in and I had the exact same problem! I took it upstairs to my other Daytek and it did the same error.
Has anyone else had a problem playing Water? Has anyone ever heard of a defective pressing being released to the public?

no one is reporting an issue with it -- but it may have a problem ... play it on another player somewhere else to check ..
maybe you got part of a bad batch ...
note - only released in canada so far i believe"Each problem that I solved became a rule which served afterwards to solve other problems." - Rene Descartes (1596-1650) -
Do you work at a video store? It would make sense that it's only released in Canada so far cause it didn't get much theatrical release in the States, and that might've been why it didnt get any Academy nominations.Originally Posted by BJ_M
