  1. hi, i currently have a divx file and im trying to convert it to an avi , but am unable to find any programs/guides to do so.

The one i did find was Riverpast Video Cleaner, which did convert it, but howerver left a logo within the movie.

If anyone knows of any programs that could also do this for me, can you please reply with its name

Um hate to tell you this but there's a 99.9999% chance you're divx file already is an avi file.

AVI is a container for all kinds of video (what are called codecs - the different compression schemes used for digital video).

There are many programs found in the tools section on the left of the screen.

What is your final purpose for the video? Are you trying to make it smaller? If so you would need to reencode it with a lower bitrate thus reducing the quality.

A little more detail will help us help you.

.divx is an extension/hack of avi. It is fully backwards compatible, so any non avi features are simply ignored.
