  1. Ok, Ive converted an MKV file to a M2V and Ive demuxed the DTS file from the MKV and downmixed that to a Dolby 2.0 file (for DVD specs).

But Ive brought these into DVD Lab Pro and Im getting different run times for each one of the audios. Why is this? I have done no editing of any kind, simply demuxed and converted. Whats the problem?

Ive had simlar problems where I have converted a Wave to AC3, and imported this into DVD Lab, and the AC3 has been a few seconds shorter/longer (I dont remember which) than the video but upon compiling there has been no audio sync isses. Is this just the same problem, but it seem to be more out of sync due to the sheer length?

Ive spent so long on this, I'd hate to see it all screw up now.[/img]

Does the rendered DVD layout play OK on your HD? If so don't worry about it.

If you got the ac3 from the dts pictured, generally should be the same length -- might want to double check lengths during your DTS -> AC3 conversion to determine where in the process the change occurs, but again, if it plays OK on your HD don't bother.

  3. Well Ive checked and it plays more or less in sync. If theres any correlation between image and sound, the sync must be mere milliseconds in length. Then again, I think that itself is just due to the fact I need a reboot!

I guess DVD Lab guestimates wrongly, it seems OK.

    Case closed.
