  1. I was just wondering why we can't use arrow keys on VCD menus? I know it isn't possible, but all the post I have read just say it can't. I want to know the real technical reason why it isn't possible. Another quick question, DVD menus are written in XML correct?

    Thanks in advance!!!

  2. VCDs can't use the arrow keys because the format wasn't designed for them. It's like saying why your Hi-Fi remote doesn't work on your DVD player. VCDs predate DVDs by many years.

DVD menus are not written in XML. In fact, VCD menus are not written in XML either (VCDs are OLDER than XML -- and ?even HTML).

VCDImager just uses XML as a scripting language to describe how you want your VCD to be authored. There is no XML on the actual VCD itself (and the same is true for DVD).
