  1. Hi!

I have a problem, im trying to burn Naruto episodes (avi) to DVD-RW so that I can watch them on my TV.

Everything works fine, except one thing - the Naruto episodes are 640x480 and when I watch them on my Widescreen TV the image is to high on the diagonal (the sub dont show). The width is fine, I get black borders on the sides couse it is recorded in 4:3 but other then that the width is fine. But I loose information in both the top and bottom of the image, worst of all I cant see the sub (actually, I can see half the sub, but the rest is outside of the picture-frame).

Do you know how I can make this work with the sub and all?

Search the forums, as this is one of the most asked questions. Search for overscan and anime. In short, fansubbers put the subtitles in the wrong place. They are subbed for watching on a PC only, not a TV. To fix it you must add a border all around and shrink the image until the subs are visible. This means you have to process the video before encoding and authoring. Add FitCD to your search criteria and you will have answers galore

  3. I downloaded this program "fitcd", but how does it work? I tryed using it but when I saved the avi-file it is a script file?

Is there a good tutorial on this?
    /Thanks

  6. Er... I dont understand this at all...

I dont get a border, there is no options for that... Is it not possible to simply ad a border and save the file as a avi-file (identical to the source but with border) and then burn it with Nero?

Gah! This much work, Im beginning to think its not worth it...

  8. In diko under one of the video tabs in configuration there is an option to select the overscan 1,2 or 3 try each because TVs differ. If using latest diko 2.22 the subtitle must have the same name as avi and select them together when adding file. e.g. movie.avi and movie.srt

  9. There is something wrong, I get the black border above the subtitle...?

  10. It seems the black border does not shrink the picture, ist just like a layer over it and the black frame is above the sub... or something... help!
