    Hi,
I have a ratDVD in my hardware and would like to create my own dvd but it seems impossible. When I use Nero or MPEG encoder, both don't accept the file.
    HOw can I do?
    Thanks a lot/Fabio

  2. ratDVD(format) is compressed format with special codec. In order to edit it, you need to "uncompress" it to real DVD with ratDVD (sofware). Otherwise nothing can deal with it.

    1) Is the quality less than that of original DVD-R when decompressed?
    and
    2) How much time does the decompressing take? I beleive it preserves menus
    3) Any other DVD-R compression like this avble? (preserving menus, chapters et all)

  4. Never used it. Use Search - it was discussed already. I think the people found it not very good.

    1) Yes it's of inferior quality.

    2) It takes much longer than DVD shrink takes.

    3) See Number 2.
