ok. I have a TView99 in my PC.
It worked fine until I upgraded to Windows XP Professional from XP Home.
Now when I try to install the drivers all my my video files become EXTREMELY bright. Like Black = Grey now. And this Effects ALL of my playback programs. WinDVD, VLC, WMP, DivX Player, ALL of them. What's worse is that I cannot alter the brightness or contrast to the original levels from the programs. It doesn't make anything better.
Even uninstalling the drivers doesn't help and I have to system restore back to before I attempted to install the drivers.
How can I change the Brightness or prevent this Brightness change from happening?
I'm at my wit's end here and really need this working.

Still sounds like a problem with your video drivers. Have you went to the manufacturers site for the latest driver for your video card? I can't think of anything in Windows that would effect your video brightness levels.
Did you do a clean install of Pro, or just a upgrade? Did the brightness problem start before you added the video card drivers? I mean did the Windows default drivers do the same thing?
And if you go the the video cards manufacturer site, check the FAQ's there to see if anyone else has the problem. You could also do a Google search using your video card model number and see if anything comes up there.
That's about all I can think of. -
WHen xp was new, there were reports of many problems because upgrade procedure tried to use old driver setup, modifying it to work in XP. I'd think the same sort of thing could be happening, where even though you're still in XP, drivers weren't properly installed. GEnerally to solve this sort of thing had to completely remove all traces of old driver and re-install.

Unfortunately my Video "card" is on board and I have no AGP port (My dad told me It was too expensive to get the motherboard with it. What that man wont' do to save $21)
and SiS sucks on ice in general because it's their driver's that are required and cause my computer to generate an infinate reboot loop (Get's to just before windows XP boots, then closes and reboots the system)
I'm beginning to wish I didn't go to XP Pro because I didn't have any problems with XP Home...It's not the fall that hurts it's the sudden stop
