Why does userimages.bmp get copied to any directory where a disc image is opened with Nero 7? Anyone else run into this?

    If in doubt, Google it.

  7. Well, I stopped using Nero 7. Went back to 6. I think 6 is so much better. But try uninstalling Nero 7. Good luck with your file associations. I formatted my hard drive anyway ... so, I'm not going anywhere near Nero 7. I think 6 was just fine.

  8. I get it with version 7.0.1.4b. Rather annoying that they didn't fix it with this release. I was going nuts thinking I had some kind of new virus until I found some threads on the net about it.

According to this post on cdfreaks you can do the following to specify a different location of the annoying file. Not a fix, but at least it makes it less annoying.

    nero has a registry entry:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ahead\Nero - Burning ROM\Settings\WorkingDir

this seems to be the issue over here

to get it out of my way I created a temp dir in the nero installation folder and changed the registry entry for the entry above to:

    C:\Program Files\Nero\Nero 7\Temp
