  1. I captured 1 hour DV tape into my HD using Windows Movie Maker. I then attempted to convert DV into DivX6 with video resize and smart deinterlace filters and 2 pass for video and Lame MP3 for audio. In the middle of conversion VirtualDub crashed and gave me the error below. Please advise.

  2. Good site but no information re: my problem. I also run Video->Scan for error in VirtualDub but received no warnings so fixing bad frames is useless exercise. Still need an advice.

That's funny ..... I found a thread with an error that was very similar to yours and the fix was to make sure you had the latest version of virtualdub because some of the earlier versions had a memory leak problem that gives you an error strangely similar to the one you're getting !

    Worth a try ???
    If in doubt, Google it.

  4. I just finished conversion from dv->divx of the file without problems. The only difference was that my PC is overclocked and CPU temps went as high as 65C and this time I cooled my room temp to 20C from regular 28C. May be that was the "fix". Who knows.
