I just ripped a vob file(2.3gb) using dvd shrink. I want to split the vob up into separate clips (it contains different music videos). I just tried using mpeg video wizard.. i selected the portion then exported to dvd mpeg.. it takes about 15minutes to do a 3 minute clip. i'll be here forever... is there an easier way to split the files ????

I really like cuttermaran for this sort of thing... it only works with m2v files so you'll need to do your demuxing somewhere else.

Mpeg video wizard is usually pretty darn fast, unless it's converting the file in the process. Can you check your output propertie during the export to see if it's streaming the video/audio or converting either or both tracks?
This has sometimes happened to me when cutting mpgs with AC3 audio (which I'll assume your files also have) -- if you make even a tiny change while cutting a file, it'll convert the audio from AC3 to wav because mpeg video wizard doesn't have an AC3 converter. If you don't touch the audio, it should stream just fine and the "export" speed should be extremely fast.
So I would check that, see if it's wanting to convert the files versus just stream the cut sections. If this doesn't make sense or you check and it's wanting to convert either audio or video, let us know and with more info we can figure this one out. -
Agree with ozymango, Mpeg video wizard is fast if you use streaming. Don't use export. Use record (red button on the lower right hand corder) and check the Detail and make sure the that video is blue bar and audio can be blue or red. Blue=streaming, Red = recode.
