    I'd like to convert a MOV file to MPEG, or another friendly format. I have Nero and some freeware.

    Is there a easy way to do it ?

    I use Quicktime pro to save the file out as a DV file. Then I use Mainconcept Mpeg Encoder to convert to MPEG2 for DVD.

    Don't know exactly why I do it this way but it works for me.

    I have also used some of the methods from the guides, etc.
    They work too.
