    Do I need to finalize a DVD-RAM so it can be played in a different DVD player?

    No, but it may not play in other players. RAM has low compatibility, and usually RAM is VR mode and not supported by most players.

    OK so if I use a DVD-RW do I need to finalize to play in other machines?

    Also which is better +R or -R?
